About St Ives

Shanty Shout

St Ives Shanty Shout started in 2016 with a small handful of groups singing in The Castle Inn. This proved to be very popular and many groups showed interest in coming to the next one so we had to do it again in 2017 and make it bigger.

Hosted by Bamaluz Bootleggers, the St Ives Shanty Group with sponsorship from local businesses the 2017 shout had over 20 groups, including Kimber's Men travelling down from Yorkshire, singing at multiple venues in the town.

In 2017 we raised £1830 which has gone to our 2 charities, the RNLI and Children’s Hospice South West. Can we give a huge thank you to everyone who put money in the buckets.
